Since being founded in 1992 as an independent company, Paymentshield has experienced tremendous growth and commercial success in particularly over the last 3 years. In November 2006, Paymentshield was acquired by Towergate, Europe's largest independently owned insurance intermediary, and is now a sister company of Towergate Partnership.
Our aims are:

- To retain our excellent reputation for first class customer service and efficient policy servicing provided by our 300 dedicated employees
We have over 800,000 policy holders and our general insurance business levels have increased to over 20,000 new business proposals each month. We are therefore firmly positioned as the UK's largest independent supplier of mortgage related insurance products to the intermediary sector.
Our general insurance products are only available through financial intermediaries. An intermediary's product knowledge, financial expertise and first-hand knowledge of your own financial circumstances means that they are best placed to establish what your demands and needs are and recommend the most suitable product for you. If your financial intermediary is registered with Paymentshield and the Financial Services Authority (FSA), they are able to access the latest products, information, advice and support from us, ensuring in turn that you receive comprehensive cover and support.
