No Claims Discount Entitlement for Landlords

Following your feedback, we've been working hard with our underwriters, Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc, to provide greater flexibility around the No Claims Discount (NCD) entitlement for Landlords Buildings & Contents Policyholders.
Transferring Existing No Claims Discount
Previously, if a customer decided to rent out the property that they were currently living in, the NCD on their new Landlords Buildings & Contents Insurance policy would revert to 0% / 0 years.
The great news is that we are now able to offer these customers a transfer of their existing NCD entitlement. So if, for example, your customer has built up a 5 years (30%) NCD on their residential property which they then decide to rent out, their 5 years (30%) NCD would be transferred to their new Landlords Buildings & Contents Insurance policy.
Introductory No Claims Discount
Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc have also confirmed we are now able to offer a new Introductory NCD to new Landlord policyholders of 3 years entitlement (equivalent to 20% discount).
These new discounts provide a valuable additional benefit to our Landlords Buildings & Contents Insurance and trust that these enhancements are welcomed by you and your customers.
