Standard Cover Limits

Our Landlords Buildings and Contents product offers standard cover limits and benefits of:

  • £300,000 buildings reinstatement cover
  • £40,000 contents cover if the property is rented as furnished
  • £10,000 contents cover if the property is rented as unfurnished
  • Up to 30% (5 years) No Claims Discount
  • Each Landlord can cover up to 10 properties

In addition, our Landlords Buildings and Contents product also offers as standard:

  • Cover for loss of rent (including ground rent) receivable, up to 15% of Buildings sum insured if the rental property is made uninhabitable by an insured cause
  • Accidental damage to the locks or theft of the keys to your customer's rental property
  • Unauthorised use of metered electricity, gas or water
  • Landlords contents in communal areas, where contents cover has been selected
  • Damage to gardens caused by attending Emergency Services
  • Loss of metered water following damage to the buildings
  • Continuing cover for up to 90 days between tenancies

If an emergency, such as a burst pipe or a break-in, threatens the safety of your customer's property they can call us for assistance. We can arrange for a skilled and reliable tradesman, approved by us, to get in touch with them. They will need to pay the tradesman's bill. However, if the loss or damage is subsequently covered under their Landlords Buildings and Contents Policy, then they can claim what they paid the tradesman from us subject to the policy excess.
