Landlords - No Claims Discount

No Claims Discount can provide a valuable discount to your customer's Landlords Buildings & Contents policy, and they can earn up to a maximum discount of 30% (5 years). Any No Claims Discount earned with a previous provider can also be transferred.

Introductory No Claims Discount

We offer a 3 years (20%) Introductory No Claims Discount on Landlords Buildings & Contents Insurance, provided your client has not previously had any claims. We can offer an Introductory No Claims Discount on new properties purchased or properties that you are transferring to us that are currently with another insurance provider.

Please note:

• For customers who are not eligible to receive an Introductory No Claims Discount, their policy will begin to accrue its own No Claims Discount from its first annual review and each year thereafter.

Landlords

Customers are entitled to a No Claims Discount for the number of years that they have been insured and claim free

Please note:

• For Landlords Buildings & Contents Insurance, the landlord accrues a No Claims Discount on each property - not each policy.
• Customers can transfer the No Claims Discount that they have earned on their home insurance, if they decide to rent out the property that they currently live in. So if, for example, your customer has built up a 5 years (30%) NCD on their residential property which they then decide to rent out, their 5 years (30%) NCD would be transferred to their new Landlords Buildings & Contents Insurance policy.
• No Claims Discount can be transferred between different policies i.e. should the landlord need a replacement policy.
• No Claims Discount cannot be transferred between different properties
  Example: If a customer owns properties 1, 2 and 3 but decides to sell property number 2 and buy property number 4, we are unable to transfer any No Claims Discount from property 2 to property 4.
• Existing customers wanting to replace an existing Paymentshield Landlords Buildings & Contents Insurance policy with a new Paymentshield Landlords Buildings & Contents Insurance policy and transfer the No Claims Discount, can only do so if the property remains the same.
