1. What is covered under Legal Expenses cover?
Legal Expenses cover will provide cover for the cost of negotiation or defence of your legal rights in respect of:

  • Employment Disputes - We will negotiate for the customer's legal rights in a dispute arising from the customer's contract of employment
  • Contract disputes - We will negotiate for the customer's legal rights in a contractual dispute arising from an agreement or an alleged agreement which the customer has entered into
  • Bodily injury - We will negotiate for the customer's legal rights in a claim against a party who causes the death of or bodily injury to the customer
  • Property Protection - We will negotiate for the customer's legal rights in a civil action and/or mediation for a dispute relating to material property (including the home) which is owned by the customer or for which they are responsible for (A £250 excess applies for any claim arising from legal nuisance or trespass)
  • Tax Protection - We will negotiate for the customer and represent them in any appeal proceedings, in the event of a full enquiry into their personal tax affairs
  • Jury Service - We will pay the customer's salary or wages for the time that they are off work while attending jury service for each half or whole day of their attendance, as far as the salary or wages are not recoverable from the court or their employer
The first 2 months cover is provided free of charge from the policy start date on FreeFirst and subject to the Policy Terms & Conditions we will pay up to a maximum of £50,000 for all claims resulting from one or more insured event arising at the same time.

2. How do I register Inertia?
To register Inertia, you need to log into Inertia in the first instance as the Administrator.
To do this, firstly select Demo/Admin from the drop down menu on the login screen and then enter:

  • User Logon: admin
  • Password: admin
You will then need to register your firm details in Inertia. Details on how to do this can be found within our Inertia FAQ area, which will take you through the step by step instructions on how to fully register your Inertia Version 3 software.

3. How do I use Inertia e.g. obtain a quotation, apply, print a statement of Demands and Needs?
Producing quotations in Inertia is a very simple process and can be produced in a matter of minutes. Our Inertia FAQ area provides step by step instructions on how to generate a quotation for Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance, Buildings and Contents Insurance and Landlords Buildings and Contents Insurance. 4. How do I become a registered Intermediary with Paymentshield?

5. How do I add another seller on to the agency?
If you are Directly Authorised or an Introducer the request for an additional seller needs to be sent to us in writing, signed by your company's registered principal contact.

If you are an Appointed Representative or registered individual of a Network the request to add another seller must come via your Network to Paymentshield's Agency Team.
