It provides a higher level of benefit than our other products enabling cover for up to £2,500. Customers can also include 25% additional cover on top of their mortgage to cover other household expenditure.
As it's packed with features, Mortgageshield is as simple to sell as any Paymentshield product. The paperless application process requires no medical examination, and cover is available to both new and existing mortgagees, with no initial exclusion period for new borrowers.
Customers can take out individual unemployment or disability cover at a reduced cost, and choose between 30 and 60 day qualification periods depending on the sick cover offered by their employer. Premiums start from as little as £4.95 per £100 of monthly benefit for unemployment and disability, or just £3.10 per £100 of monthly benefit for unemployment or disability only cover.
