Landlords can now insure up to ten properties
Paymentshield's B&C for Landlords provides household insurance to private customers who own a property that is rented out under a single occupancy tenancy agreement. It's a unique offering with a no claims discount worth up to 30% for five claim free years and you can transfer claims-free periods from existing insurers.
Contracts are calculated by number of bedrooms instead of a sum assured, so they are easier to sell. Depending on the type of property and tenants, customers have a flexible choice of cover, with contents insurance for furnished properties up to £40,000 and unfurnished properties up to £10,000.
A highlight of this policy for your customers is that cover continues for up to 90 days between tenancies, allowing customers time to remarket their properties.
In addition to this enhancement, we will shortly be launching the Landlord product on Inertia, which will simplify the application process.
