Paymentshield completes management team with appointment of Compliance Director
Paymentshield, the largest independent supplier of mortgage related general insurance products to the intermediary sector, has completed the structure of its management team with the appointment of Graham Johnston as Compliance Director.
Paymentshield has also announced that it is undertaking a tendering process for the underwriting contract for its general insurance business, currently held by Hamilton Insurance and St Andrews Insurance. This process has been extremely successful with a number of key insurers offering terms to allow Paymentshield to maintain or even enhance the competitiveness of its products. The competition for the contract not only illustrates the attractiveness of the mortgage intermediary sector to insurers but also Paymentshield's position in the market.
Paymentshield CEO, Stuart Pender has made a number of high profile, senior appointments* over the last year, all of which will play a crucial part in leading the business through an important period of growth. Paymentshield recently reported premium income of £186 million for the last financial year up by 42% from £132million the previous financial year. It also announced that it is undertaking a tendering process for the underwriting contract for its general insurance business, currently held by Hamilton Insurance and St Andrews Insurance.
As Compliance Director, Graham Johnston will primarily responsible for ensuring Paymentshield is meeting its regulatory obligations to intermediaries and retail customers, including effective management of appeals and complaints. Graham joins Paymentshield from Cheltenham & Gloucester, the mortgage provider for the LloydsTSB Group.
