Paymentshield wins Mortgage Edge Award for technology

Paymentshield, the UK's largest independent supplier of mortgage related general insurance products to the intermediary sector, has been recognised as the Best General Insurance Platform by winning this year's Mortgage Edge Online Technology Awards 2007.

The Mortgage Edge Online Technology Awards recognise the growing importance of technology in the market and is judged by brokers. The award assesses companies' online technology, taking into account speed of download, ease of navigation, functionality as well as consistency of service.

Paymentshield won the award for its quotation software Inertia, which generates quotations for Paymentshield's Buildings & Contents as well as Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance at a touch of a button, allowing data to be shared without having to re-key customer information.

Stuart Pender:
"We are delighted to win this award as it reflects the hard work we have undertaken to create an online system that understands the brokers' needs and that makes their day-to-day dealings with Paymentshield as easy as possible. During the past year we have made considerable enhancements to our online offering, demonstrating our commitment to the intermediary market and we will continue to strengthen our proposition in the future."
