Paymentshield announced as sole buildings and contents provider for Spicerhaart

Paymentshield, the largest independent supplier of mortgage related general insurance products to the intermediary sector, is delighted to announce that it has been selected as the sole provider of buildings and contents insurance for clients of Spicerhaart - the largest independent estate agent in Europe.

With over 2,000 employees and 250 offices in the UK, the Spicerhaart Group operates under a variety of different brands and includes one of the largest mortgage brokers in the country. Spicerhaart undertook extensive research of the general insurance market, and Paymentshield was selected on the basis of its competitive and comprehensive general insurance offering.

The new deal will see Spicerhaart offering Paymentshield's household and landlord cover initially via its broker arm, Spicerhaart Financial Services, with a view to expanding this to the wider Spicerhaart Group companies during the early part of 2008. Paymentshield's business development team will also be providing both face-to-face and telephone based support and advice to Spicerhaart's sales-force.
