An Atlanta Group company

Paymentshield is part of the Atlanta Group which is home to many insurance brands, each with its own unique story, background, heritage, products and customer base. Each brand brings something unique into the Group, and by bringing them together Atlanta is able to offer even more to their customers.

Atlanta’s story starts with Autonet which was founded in 1998 and grew to become one of the leading van insurance brokers in the UK. In 2017, Autonet then became part of the Ardonagh Group, the UK’s largest independent insurance broker powered by a network of over 100 locations across the UK and rest of the world, with a workforce of over 8,000 people.

Before long, the Atlanta Group was formed within Ardonagh, which grew to include specialist motorcycle brand Carole Nash and high-street home and car broker Swinton Insurance. More information about the individual brands that make up Atlanta can be found on the Atlanta website.

Paymentshield, became part of the Atlanta Group in 2020 bringing new expertise that could be shared across the Atlanta family whilst giving us access to new knowledge and resources we’ve been able to put to use to offer our customers an enhanced experience.

Atlanta’s timeline outlines their journey and some of the awards and accolades along the way.
