Legal expenses cover can provide valuable legal support to help deal with unforeseen legal situations, to make sure you get the support you need when you need it.
Legal expenses cover includes...
- Up to £100,000 of support for you, your spouse or partner, your parents or parents in law or your children permanently residing with you incurred in defending legal rights.
- Advice when defending or bringing certain legal cases.
- Cover includes unforeseen circumstances such as being treated unfairly at work, contract disputes or personal injury.
What may not be covered...
In order for a claim to be considered there must be a reasonable prospect of success which is defined as 51% or greater chance that you will recover losses or damages. In addition, our legal expenses insurance does not cover the following:
- Any claim where the amount in dispute is less than £100
- Employment disputes where your employment status is not that of any employee
- Claims in respect of parking or obstruction offences
